It is important when choosing an ICT Issue that you frame it in a way where you can answer it with a Yes/No or We agree/disagree.

For example,

Social Networking Is social networking addictive?
Artifical Intelligence Should we fear the greater use of AI in robotics?
3D Printing 3D printing will revolutionise the way we buy products by moving the manufacturing process to the consumer.
Ecommerce It is essential for a business to have a ecommerce presence to compete in todays world.

  • Social/psychological implications of omnipresent computing and communication facilities on children, students, workers, and governments.
    e.g. how many of the political revolutions in 2012 were incited and coordinated by social media?
  • Privacy in the digital age
  • Changing attitudes to information ownership - open source software, "acceptable piracy", Megaupload, Creative Commons, CopyLeft, GNU licences, Facebook privacy settings, Anonymous, Wikileaks, jailbreaking/unlocking (recently outlawed in USA) etc.
  • Artificial intelligence, e.g. IBM's Watson, Amazon's suggested buys, Siri, human/computer interfacing (e.g. Google glasses)

– types of technology involved (types/models/versions offered)
- capabilities of technology involved (how it works & what is needed to make it work & limitations)

- ethical issues

who does it affect: types of key stakeholders, such as

- Need to make a survey using Google Docs or Surveymonkey.com for other students in class to complete.

Or it's easier to go around class with pen and paper asking them set questions, then put them in a spreadsheet.
